Five: Books Every Entrepreneur Should Read

The great thing about Entrepreneurism is the freedom associated with it. Want to make cupcakes for a living? Do it. Raise horses? Totally viable. In the digital age more is possible than ever, to the point where it can be overwhelming to discover what to do. Here are my favorite five books to help you on your journey:

1.) The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace D. Wattles

The power of this book is that it teaches one how to convert a concept into a practical reality. It was this book that made me realize the world is full of treasures and wonder.
Similar Books: Think and Grow Rich; The Secret

2.) The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho

“Everyone, when they are young, knows what their personal legend is.” The Alchemist is a direct call to adventure, and the knowledge contained within will change the very way someone interacts with the world.
Similar Books: The Little Prince; Siddhartha

3.) The Go-Giver, Bob Burg, John David Mann:

Joe, the main character of the book, is introduced to a slew of successful entrepreneurs in order to learn the value of helping others. This is the most important book I have read on the philosophy of generating return, and I have read it multiple times over.
Similar Books: The Pumpkin Plan; Who Moved My Cheese?

4.) The Richest Man in Babylon, George S. Clason:

“If you desire to help thy friend, do so in a way that will not bring thy friend’s burdens upon thyself.” Originally a series of pamphlets sent out by banks and insurance companies, this is an energizing story that teaches how money works and how to be responsible with it.
Similar Books: Rich Dad Poor Dad; Wealth Can’t Wait

5.) Artist of Life, Bruce Lee

This is a secret gem of mine that is very close to my heart. The book outlines the life and ideas of Bruce Lee in a way popular media can’t.  It teaches how Bruce Lee was able to achieve so much in such a short time.
Similar Books: Jobs; Total Recall

Go Forth, and Conquer

The journey to self discovery is a long and at many times, treacherous one. Books can greatly assist one to deal with the problems at hand or those just on the horizon.

What books have helped you on the way?
